We agree with the foodbank when they say they don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry, which is why Yr7 are supporting this charity. The Ribble valley Foodbank provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. Nightsafe are a local Charity set up in 1990 by a group of local people, with the aim of alleviating the plight of homeless and vulnerably housed young people within the borough of Blackburn with Darwen and surrounding areas.
